Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled Data Engineer to design, implement, and deploy data solutions that meet the needs of our business. As a Data Engineer, you will work closely with our software and ML teams to streamline data pipelines and feature engineering, ensuring high-quality, real-time information fuels the models powering our robots.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Engineering: Design, implement, and deploy data solutions that are high quality (e.g., secure, testable, maintainable, low-defects, efficient, well documented etc.) and incorporate best practices.
  • Operational Excellence: Focus on operational excellence, constructively identifying problems and proposing solutions, taking on projects that improve data architecture, making it better and easier to maintain.
  • Data Warehouse/Data Lake Infrastructure: Design, implement, and support data warehouse/data lake infrastructure using AWS big data stack, Python, Redshift, Quicksight, Glue/lake formation, EMR/Spark/Scala, Athena etc.
  • Mentorship: Mentor other engineers, influence positively team culture, and help grow the team.

A Day in the Life

As a Data Engineer in our Robotics Manipulation Org, your day is filled with the challenge of optimizing data flows across multiple systems. You start by reviewing KPIs, uncovering insights to drive performance improvements. Working closely with software and ML teams, you streamline data pipelines and feature engineering, ensuring high-quality, real-time information fuels the models powering the robots.

Estimated Salary: $140,000 - $200,000 per year
