Job Overview

Amerit Fleet Solutions is seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team. As a Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for the timely repair and maintenance of medium and heavy-duty trucks to ensure safe and efficient operation.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of diesel engine diagnosis and repair, as well as experience with fleet maintenance operations. Proficiency in electrical and preventative maintenance is also required.

As a Diesel Technician at Amerit Fleet Solutions, you will have the opportunity to work with a highly skilled team of technicians and managers, providing services at over 850 locations nationwide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on medium to heavy-duty trucks
  • Conduct safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documentation
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures
  • Inspect and perform work on the underparts of vehicles
  • Move parts to and from the job site and remove or install these parts on vehicles
  • Interact with clients through email and phone as necessary

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years' experience performing vehicle maintenance or possession of an auto or diesel technology diploma from an accredited technical school
  • Commercial Driver's License class A or B preferred
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission vehicle to determine if operating properly
  • Must provide own hand tools and toolbox
  • Knowledge of hand-held scan tools and the process of diagnosing vehicles
  • Proficient computer skills: knowledge of Excel, Word, Fleet Management Systems, and Email

Amerit Fleet Solutions offers a competitive hourly pay rate of $35-44/hr, paid weekly, every Friday.
