Physician PRN Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Physician PRN to join our team at Concentra. As a Physician PRN, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients and contributing to the success of our occupational health program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform medical assessments of patients and establish medically appropriate levels of care
  • Work with the Center Medical Director to ensure operations are consistent with medical policy and professional standards
  • Participate in the development, implementation, and revision of policies affecting medical practice and quality of care
  • Assist with in-service and continuing education programs for physicians, nurses, and other personnel
  • Meet with Concentra's Medical Director to discuss quality of patient care and review policies, procedures, and records
  • Submit periodic reports on activities of the Center to Concentra and Association
  • Assist in scheduling and providing medical coverage for Centers owned, operated, or managed by Association or Concentra
  • Provide budgetary input to ensure medical responsibilities can be adequately met by the center
  • Participate in quality assurance processes and ensure compliance with licensing, certification, and accrediting bodies
Requirements:
  • Doctorate degree from an accredited college or university
  • Board certification by ABPM, ABFM, or other medical board in the state where employed
  • Licensure requirements of the state of jurisdiction
  • Unrestricted DEA license for the state of jurisdiction

  • Ability to make decisions or solve problems using logic and propose quality solutions
  • Outstanding customer service skills and ability to deal with people in a tactful and professional manner
  • Demonstrated knowledge of occupational medicine requirements, clinical operations, OSHA, DOT, and other relevant areas
