About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse to provide exceptional patient care to residents in our long-term care facility. In this rewarding role, you will assess patients' health status, develop personalized care plans, and collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless delivery of care. Your critical thinking skills, excellent communication, and time management abilities will enable you to navigate complex situations effectively.
Responsibilities:
* Accurately assess patients' health status, educational needs, and environmental requirements
* Develop dynamic care plans based on identified needs, working collaboratively with physicians, families, and other team members
* Communicate changes in condition to the interdisciplinary team, ensuring timely documentation of assessments and care plans
* Implement nursing interventions, including medication administration, treatments, and IV fluid administrations, while maintaining a safe and timely environment
* Utilize critical thinking skills to address crisis situations, such as family dissatisfaction or inclement weather
* Collaborate with the QAPI process to actively address problem areas and resolve issues promptly
* Assist with answering call lights and providing resident care, including ADLs
Requirements:
* Education from an accredited school of nursing resulting in becoming a registered nurse
* Current RN license in the state of employment
* CPR/AED certification required, or willingness to obtain within six months of employment
* Long-term care experience preferred
* Critical thinking skills, excellent communication, and time management abilities
