Job Summary
We are seeking a full-time Tax Attorney to join our team at David Coffin PLLC in Texas. The successful candidate will assist in our Federal Tax Controversy Practice, helping individuals and businesses with federal tax issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle a large docket of cases in search of solutions for clients' particular federal tax issues, including IRS audits and appeals, collection of income or payroll taxes, and defense of federal district court collection, refund or injunction cases.
- Represent taxpayers and tax professionals in criminal matters and other problem-solving matters dealing with the IRS and federal taxes.
- Collaborate with our team to provide expert tax advice and guidance to clients.
Requirements
- Law school graduate with a strong background in tax law.
- Passed the bar exam in any state.
- Experience working with federal tax matters in government service or private practice.
- Ability to handle a large number of matters or cases with proficiency.
- High level of integrity, a heart to serve and to help clients, and ability to persevere despite adversity and obstacles.
- Desire to grow the practice and eventually obtain equity ownership in the firm.
