Job Summary:

MEDIKO Inc is seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our team in a part-time/PRN capacity. As a Physician Assistant with MEDIKO, you will have the opportunity to work in a correctional healthcare setting, providing compassionate and comprehensive medical care to underserved populations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and treat acute/chronic medical problems and provide direct care to patients in a correctional setting
  • Perform lifesaving interventions in emergent cases such as cardiac arrest, respiratory arrest, massive hemorrhage, or similar emergencies
  • Practice safety, environmental, and/or infection control methods
  • Supervise and/or coordinate the activities of patient care and support staff within the clinic
  • Document promptly and properly
  • Provide health education to patients
  • Observe requirements set by custody while in the correctional facility, and follow MEDIKO guidelines and protocol
  • Provide on-call services as assigned by the facility and/or company needs

Requirements:

  • Active license as Physician's Assistant or Physician Associate with Certification by NCCPA in a Primary Care clinical discipline
  • Must hold current DEA Registration
  • Participation in the MEDIKO retirement plan
  • Employee Assistance Program
