Job Summary:
MEDIKO Inc is seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our team in a part-time/PRN capacity. As a Physician Assistant with MEDIKO, you will have the opportunity to work in a correctional healthcare setting, providing compassionate and comprehensive medical care to underserved populations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and treat acute/chronic medical problems and provide direct care to patients in a correctional setting
- Perform lifesaving interventions in emergent cases such as cardiac arrest, respiratory arrest, massive hemorrhage, or similar emergencies
- Practice safety, environmental, and/or infection control methods
- Supervise and/or coordinate the activities of patient care and support staff within the clinic
- Document promptly and properly
- Provide health education to patients
- Observe requirements set by custody while in the correctional facility, and follow MEDIKO guidelines and protocol
- Provide on-call services as assigned by the facility and/or company needs
Requirements:
- Active license as Physician's Assistant or Physician Associate with Certification by NCCPA in a Primary Care clinical discipline
- Must hold current DEA Registration
- Participation in the MEDIKO retirement plan
- Employee Assistance Program
