Job Overview

Roers Companies LLC is seeking a highly skilled Construction Superintendent to lead our multifamily residential construction projects from start to finish. As a key member of our team, you will oversee the entire construction life cycle, ensuring timely and efficient completion of projects while maintaining the highest level of quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to coordinate project schedules and sequences
  • Forecast and manage resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to meet budgetary limitations
  • Plan and schedule on-site construction operations, ensuring deadlines are met and progress is monitored
  • Evaluate project progress, prepare detailed reports, and ensure adherence to health and safety standards
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, perform quality control and safety checks, and provide on-site direction
  • Adjust to changes in on-site operations as necessary to meet construction deadlines
  • Maintain a daily log of job site operations and report to management as needed
  • Provide value engineering options to enhance project efficiency and cost savings
  • Maintain good relations with city officials, owners, personnel, and subcontracted trades and suppliers
Requirements
  • 10+ years of on-site supervision experience in multifamily residential new building construction
  • BS Degree in Construction Management or related field
  • High school diploma or GED with 5-10 years of related experience
  • Knowledge of current building codes and ADA laws
  • Experience with site construction, precast, wood framing, MEP trades, and interior finishes
  • Demonstrated understanding of multifamily construction means and methods
  • Experience in alternative building methods and value engineering
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
  • Microsoft Project scheduling software
  • Bluebeam
  • Procore construction management software
  • Ability to work independently, leading a small team, and overseeing the entire construction life cycle
  • Review and execute construction documentation, owner building standards, and finish schedules
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, civil, and MEP trade drawings
  • Well-organized and able to forecast upcoming scopes of work for timely completion
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, adapting to staffing and project needs

Location:

The Construction Superintendent will primarily work on-site at project locations, exposed to current weather and site conditions. The Construction Superintendent will participate in company meetings and gatherings at the corporate offices.
