Position Overview:
The Professional and Clinical Services Team (PCS) in North America is on the lookout for a driven ABC Certified Prosthetist to take on the role of Clinical Specialist in Prosthetics.
Role Purpose:
This position is designed to deliver clinical and technical expertise, education, and product training to both internal and external stakeholders, with the aim of expanding the prosthetic business unit.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide support to customers in clinical settings, educating patients and clinicians, guiding care, and conducting trials to enhance the application of our prosthetic products and fitting techniques.
2. Develop comprehensive technical and clinical knowledge of the Ottobock prosthetic portfolio to inform customers about fitting indications and procedures.
3. Offer assistance to customers via phone or virtual platforms with product troubleshooting.
4. Engage in patient care activities and manage complex fittings through collaborative care initiatives.
5. Work alongside the Education Team to create and deliver educational programs, including online courses, live webinars, and onsite clinical seminars.
Qualifications:
1. ABC Certified Prosthetist or Prosthetist/Orthotist.
2. BS, Certificate, or MPO/MS in Prosthetics and Orthotics.
3. State licensure in the relevant state (if applicable).
4. A minimum of 5 years of practical clinical experience in prosthetics.
Required Skills:
1. Proficient in advanced prosthetic technology and complex fittings.
2. Flexible skill set to adapt to diverse clinical training environments.
3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interaction with team members, external customers, and patients.
4. Experience in public speaking as an instructor or trainer.
5. Strong project management and organizational abilities.
Working Conditions:
1. Domestic travel is expected (50-70%), with potential for international travel for internal training.
2. Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
