About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Admission Registered Nurse to join our team at HCA Florida Sarasota Doctors Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth admission process for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Initiate the nursing component of the Interdisciplinary Assessment for all new admissions
  • Review transferring information from other facilities and assimilate it with assessment data to assist team members in developing the plan of care
  • Act as a liaison with admissions, pharmacy, acute care facilities, and other departments to facilitate a seamless admission process
  • Evaluate all scheduled admissions for appropriateness
  • Make bed assignments for new admissions and transfers
  • Coordinate the patient's care and identified needs with other services and departments throughout the hospital
  • Coordinate transfer of patients between hospitals
Requirements
  • Licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations or appropriate compact licensure
  • Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred
  • One to two years' experience with an acute care facility
  • American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
  • Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills
