Arkansas Veterinary Emergency & Specialists (AVES) is a dedicated Emergency and Specialty hospital located in Little Rock, Arkansas. Our team is comprised of passionate professionals who prioritize a collaborative approach to client and patient care. We take pride in our ability to provide individualized attention to every client and animal that enters our facility.

Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled Oncologist to enhance our team of specialists, which includes experts in Emergency & Critical Care, Surgery, Internal Medicine, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Cardiology, Dentistry, and Neurology. The ideal candidate will be a knowledgeable leader who shares our commitment to innovation in veterinary medicine and compassionate client service.

Key Responsibilities:
- Foster effective communication among staff, management, and clients, ensuring a positive atmosphere throughout the hospital.
- Collaborate with fellow specialists, ER Doctors, Technicians, Assistants, and Receptionists to deliver outstanding care and treatment for all patients.
- Uphold our core values of compassion, empathy, and teamwork, contributing to a supportive work environment.

Qualifications:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid State Veterinary License.
- DEA registration must be maintained.
- A commitment to ongoing learning and staff training is essential.

Skills Required:
- Exceptional communication abilities, ensuring effective interactions with all members of the medical team.
- Proficiency in client communication, capable of establishing rapport and providing clear explanations to pet owners.
- Confidence in handling pets under stress or in pain, with a compassionate approach.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform tasks that may involve climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
- Capacity to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
