We are seeking a highly skilled Satellite Systems Engineer to join our team at Lockheed Martin Corporation. As a key member of our spacecraft operations team, you will be responsible for conducting mission-specific real-time spacecraft/satellite flight operations during readiness, execution, and evaluation phases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed plans and procedures to provide maximum mission support in areas such as orbit dynamics, satellite performance analysis, and command and control of on-orbit satellites.
- Provide technical direction for on-orbit mission support, plan for critical vehicle malfunctions, and recommend alternate operating techniques to continue maximum mission support.
- Analyze and validate software performance, and perform flight length orbit adjust and daily special event studies.
Requirements:
- Experience as a Systems Engineer in satellite systems.
- Strong communication and team motivation skills, with the ability to lead a diverse team in a technical environment.
- Proficiency in one of the following programming languages: C, C++, C#, Java, XML, Windows,.NET, and UNIX, system software and scripting development, Java programming, web development, system analysis, system design, software design, software development and implementation, software test, or cyber security.
Security Clearance: This position requires a government security clearance, and you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
