We are seeking a highly skilled Health Information Manager to join our team at Solaris Healthcare Pensacola. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of patient health records.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain a thorough knowledge of healthcare regulations and industry best practices for record-keeping.
- Ensure accurate and consistent documentation in patient health records throughout a patient's stay.
- Scan all relevant documentation to the electronic health record.
- Perform ongoing evaluation of record-keeping practices and complete new admission audits for document completion.
- Periodically perform a quantitative review of health records to ensure accuracy, integrity, and timeliness.
- Update diagnoses and conditions per the patients' health record, ICD-10-CM Coding Guidelines, and RAI Manual Guidance.
- Assess discharge documentation for timeliness, accuracy, and completion.
- Obtain all missing information to complete the record within 30 days of discharge.
- Coursework in Medical Terminology, Pharmacology, and Anatomy and Physiology preferred.
- Experience in a medical office or Skilled Nursing Facility preferred.
