Job Title: Network Operations Center Technician II

OSAAVA Services is seeking a highly skilled Network Operations Center Technician II to join our team at Lackland AFB. This role is part of the 53rd Wing Technical Support Services (53rd WTSS) contract, supporting the United States Air Force's AFIN systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and analyze events and incidents on AFIN systems, including 16 AF operated systems and reported AFIN end-user degradations and outages.
  • Identify, document, and report outages or degradations of 16 AF operated systems.
  • Communicate directly with 26 NOS, 83 NOS, 561 NOS, 691 COS, 690 COS, MCCCs, and AMAC Crew representatives on network outages and concerns.
  • Provide direct support to cyber operations across the AFIN, utilizing AFIN monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Net Cool, Remedy, and Mission Assurance Decision Support System (MADSS).
  • Perform routine hardware/software checks for 16 AF operated equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, web proxies, and servers.
  • De-conflict ASIs with identified system degradations/outages, recording routine checks in Master Station Log.
  • Collect, document, and report actionable intelligence for initial event and incident response.
  • Perform routine queries of incident management database to identify end-user AFIN issues.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years direct/related experience in information security.
  • Bachelor's degree in related discipline from an accredited college or university. 2 additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree.
  • Active/valid DoD 8570.01-M IAT-II certification or Active Comptia Security +.
  • Experience with DoD/USAF information security policy background with practical/hands-on experience applying RMF processes and principles.
  • Experience developing and/or contributing to an RMF body of evidence composition, applicable artifacts, and associated control families.
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

Security Clearance:

Current Top-Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility, including eligibility for access to Special Access Program Information and willingness to submit to a Counterintelligence polygraph.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
  • Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
