Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sales activation events in the Cooking Connection kitchen, including recipe development and demonstration.
  • Engage customers through interactive cooking experiences, product demonstrations, and tastings.
  • Provide expert advice on menu planning, meal preparation, and food pairing.
  • Conduct cooking method and recipe preparation demonstrations, and execute food prep methods with high efficiency to maximize customer interactions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers by recalling their dietary needs and preferences.
  • Contribute culinary insights and trends to in-store cooking events and product development.
  • Assist in cooking classes, wine education, and dinner series execution.
Requirements
  • Minimum age 21 (mandatory)
  • 2+ years of experience in food and cooking, or sales and product demonstrations.
  • Completion of H-E-B Wine selling certification or similar experience.
  • Completion of TABC Certification.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of displayed products and H-E-B systems and processes.
  • Advanced communication and customer service skills.
  • Merchandising and sales skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, and manage multiple priorities.
Working Conditions

This role requires standing, reaching, and grasping for extended periods, as well as occasional sitting, walking, and lifting up to 60 pounds. The ability to work flexible hours and manage multiple priorities is essential.
