We are seeking a Full Time Clinical Pathologist or Anatomic and Clinical Pathologist to assist in the delivery of high-quality patient care in Anatomic Pathology and the Clinical Laboratory.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in providing medical leadership to laboratory staff to ensure superlative and efficient patient care and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Provide direct patient care in the form of clinical laboratory oversight, which may include producing anatomic and clinical pathology consultations and reports, as appropriate for qualifications.
  • Provide consultations to patients in areas of special competence.
  • Direct specific areas of the Clinical laboratory.
  • Assist the Director with quality management activities throughout the laboratory.
  • Maintain knowledge of local, state and federal regulations and standards/ regulations of applicable inspection agencies (CMS, JCAHO, CAP, etc.).
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Medicine and Board Certified/Eligible in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.
  • Fellowship training or demonstrable special interest/ expertise in a relevant subspecialty area of Pathology with at least 3 years experience is preferred, though not required.
  • Minimum qualifications include an MD or equivalent, board certification in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology or Clinical Pathology only, and possession of, or eligibility for, licensure in Connecticut and New York.
