Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Clinical Social Worker-Clinician to join our team at LifeSpan. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide comprehensive clinical services to patients with a wide range of psychiatric and physical/environmental stressors.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy, as well as mental health evaluations.
  • Participate in treatment planning to set therapeutic goals in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Execute treatment plans, focusing on the therapeutic aspects of patient/family care.
  • Complete all required documentation in a timely and professional manner.
  • Provide psychoeducation to patients and their families/guardians regarding diagnosis, treatment, interventions, and recommendations.
  • Engage in clinical case management to coordinate and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team and community supports.
  • Participate in service-related meetings, including team meetings, rounds, clinical conferences, community meetings, staff meetings, and in-service.
  • May participate in research or other specialized activities, as arranged with the supervisor.
  • Attend Social Work and Counseling Department staff meetings and meet all related responsibilities.
  • Demonstrate conduct that exemplifies the professional Code of Ethics.
  • Attend weekly supervision to work toward independent licensure.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Masters degree in any human services field, such as social work, mental health counseling, marriage and family therapy, or psychology, from an accredited graduate school.
  • Current license from the State of Rhode Island (LCSW, LMHC-A).
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to patients throughout the life span, considering aging processes, human development stages, and cultural patterns.
  • Significant experience and/or training working with children, adolescents, and families.
