**Job Overview**

PennState Health is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Pediatric Intermediate Care Unit as part of our Graduate Nurse Residency Program. This exciting opportunity offers a seamless educational transition into the nursing world, providing new RN graduates with a chance to continue learning and growing in their nursing career.

The Pediatric Intermediate Care Unit is a 2021 AACN Gold Beacon Award winner, offering an exceptional experience for our patients and a supportive environment for our nurses. Our team provides intermediate and intensive level of care to a diverse interactive patient population, including children with chronic lung disease, diabetes, severe acute asthma, acute respiratory distress, and chronic respiratory failure.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our experienced nurses and interdisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to a designated group of patients. You will also participate in all learning opportunities offered by PennState Health, including training sessions, workshops, and conferences.

We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and retirement savings options.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a Temporary Practice Permit or current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse by the state of employment or hold a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact. You should also have graduated within one (1) year of the cohort start date and possess AHA BLS certification prior to end of orientation period.
