Job Summary

At Satellite Shelters, Inc. | Satellite Industries, Inc., we are seeking a skilled Truck Chassis Assembler to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing operation, you will be responsible for installing chassis-mounted tank and pumping equipment for use in the liquid waste industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Install chassis-mounted tank and pumping equipment for use in the liquid waste industry.
  2. Mount vacuum tanks to truck chassis using various types of mounting brackets.
  3. Install vacuum pumping systems, water delivery systems, and other safety systems.
  4. Ensure all legal lighting and bumpers are installed.
  5. Operate lifting equipment like hoists and lift trucks safely.
  6. Read installation manuals and install equipment as per instructions.

Requirements:

  • General knowledge of 12-volt electrical systems and wiring installation.
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams and blueprints.
  • Ability to use measuring devices like tape measures, levels, and micrometers.
  • Ability to use power tools like drills, saws, air tools, etc.
  • Light welding, cutting, and metal fabrication skills.
  • General mechanical knowledge.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing operation setting with varying temperatures.

Work Environment:

This role operates in a manufacturing operation setting with exposure to high heat in the summer and low temperatures in the winter for limited amounts of time.

Physical/Mental Demands:

This job requires standing, squatting, climbing, and working on ladders or step stools. The weight limit is up to 50 lbs, and the role involves working in heat and cold.
