Nursing Department Manager Role Summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Nursing Department Manager, where you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care in our vascular access laboratory. As a key member of our management staff, you will be responsible for supervising a team of nursing staff, developing and implementing policies and procedures, and ensuring that our facility operates efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and direct nursing staff in providing safe and effective vascular access procedures to patients
* Ensure that all nursing staff are properly trained and equipped to perform their duties
* Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
* Oversee the maintenance of accurate and complete medical records
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of new procedures and protocols
Requirements
* Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (R.N.)
* Current appropriate state licensure and ACLS certification
* ASC certification preferred
* Minimum of three years' experience in an Ambulatory Surgical Center/Vascular Access Lab or a combination of ASC, surgical, Interventional Radiology and ICU/CCU experience
* Proficiency with the Microsoft office suite
* Experience with Medical database software
* Demonstrated management skills necessary to provide leadership and supervision of facility personnel
* Good communication skills - verbal and written
* Certified in BLS & ACLS successfully completed course certifications
