Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team at St Joseph School Of Nursing. As a Per Diem Physical Therapy Assistant, you will work under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist to administer prescribed physical therapy programs and restore function in patients.

Responsibilities:

Administer prescribed physical therapy programs to restore function and in conjunction with the plan of care, including gait training, balance training, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and patient education.
Document patient information in medical records.
Treat patients of varying ages.

Requirements:

Associate Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program.
Rhode Island Physical Therapy Assistant license.
Preferred, but not required: experience in physical therapy.

Working Conditions:

Clean, well-lighted, and well-ventilated area.
Exposed daily to disagreeable odors, sights of bodily wastes, and contaminated equipment.
May be exposed to infectious diseases and/or bodily harm from combative patients.
