Job Summary

The Physical Therapy Assistant will work under the supervision of a Physical Therapist to deliver and support therapeutic programs for patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to providing evidence-based healthcare services and excellent interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement physical therapy treatment plans as prescribed by the Physical Therapist
  • Monitor patient progress and operate therapeutic equipment safely and clinically
  • Document treatments, patient status, and treatment response
  • Conduct physical and psychological assessments of clients and develop treatment plans
  • Assess home environments and recommend modifications
  • Advise on assistive devices and develop physical rehabilitation programs
  • Educate caregivers and family members on patient care
  • Maintain professional knowledge and technical progress
Requirements
  • Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
  • Valid Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state(s) where services are rendered
  • Interest in working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities
  • Valid driver's license and auto insurance
  • Willingness to obtain or current BLS and/or CPR certification
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is $29 to $35 per hour, depending on experience. We offer a competitive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth and development.
