About the Role:

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nursing Director to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the health and wellness of our residents, ensuring that they receive the highest quality care and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership for resident care in the community, managing and directing the nursing team to promote the health and wellness of the resident population.
  • Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and other clinical providers to coordinate care and services for residents.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each resident.
  • Manage the department budget, including labor and other expenses, and understand its impact on the community's bottom line.
  • Recruit, hire, and train clinical team members, and be responsible for performance management, evaluations, and engagement.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited college or school of nursing with a current state/provincial license as a professional Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Minimum two (2) years RN experience with at least one (1) year experience in home health, assisted living, or long-term care environment preferred.
  • Minimum of one (1) year nursing management experience, including hiring, coaching, performance management, scheduling, and daily operations supervision.
