Job Title: Lifestyle Director

Oaks Senior Living is seeking a compassionate and experienced Lifestyle Director to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for planning and implementing programs and activities that promote a high quality of life for our residents.

Job Summary:

The Lifestyle Director will oversee the implementation of our Horizon's Life Enrichment Program, which is designed to provide life-enriching activities for residents with Alzheimer's and other dementias. This role requires a strong ability to interact and build relationships with older adults, as well as creativity and organizational skills to develop and implement engaging programs.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement the daily and weekly Horizon's Life Enrichment programming
  • Assess new residents and develop individualized Life Enrichment Plans
  • Create a monthly activities calendar that reflects the varied interests of residents
  • Establish and maintain good relationships with residents and their families
  • Strengthen local community involvement through promotion of volunteerism
  • Adhere to each Resident's Care Plan and notify the Wellness Director and Executive Director of any changes in resident condition
Requirements:
  • Experience in program and event planning for older adults with memory impairment preferred
  • Minimum of one year of experience working with residents with Alzheimer's and other dementias in a residential setting
  • Ability to interact and build relationships with older adults
  • Strong creativity and organizational skills
  • Supervisory experience in a healthcare or service industry preferred
