Job Summary

Turner Construction is seeking a highly skilled MEP Superintendent to lead our Mechanical and Electrical Systems projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of projects, managing subcontractors, and maintaining the highest level of quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate the work of subcontractors and Turner trade labor to ensure timely and quality project delivery.
  • Develop and implement recovery strategies to maintain project schedule and budget.
  • Supervise and develop Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, and interns, providing input on performance appraisals.
  • Ensure strict adherence to ethics and compliance requirements at all times.
  • Communicate with owners and architects/engineers to resolve field issues and investigate root causes.
  • Manage the billing process, including work in place, payrolls, material invoices, and subcontractor payment applications.
  • Coordinate and direct the activities of subcontractors and suppliers to ensure conformance with plans, specifications, local and national codes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or at least four years of formal engineering or architectural experience and a minimum of six years of mechanical/electrical/plumbing construction experience.
  • Knowledge of building construction, means and methods, scheduling, and cost control procedures.
  • Specific knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical Systems, including building information modeling and its use in coordination of project systems.
  • Proven written and verbal communication abilities, proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Office suite.
  • Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work on-site at the construction work site, exposed to moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions, and risk of electrical shock. The noise in these work environments is usually moderate to very loud.
