The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled VMware and VDI Systems Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining a VMware-based hypervisor environment for a worldwide mission partner within the Department of Defense (DoD).

Your expertise in VMware products, VDI, and Linux and Windows environments will enable you to translate real-world needs into technical specifications, delivering a customer-focused engineering solution. You will have the opportunity to broaden your skillset into areas like advanced VMware usage, Virtual Desktop Interface (VDI), and other growing and challenging technologies.

As a systems administrator on our team, you will be able to shape a cohesive, modern network that supports a tier-1 worldwide mission client. You will work closely with our team to evolve the systems with advanced technology solutions, ensuring the highest level of security and performance.

Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience working in VMware products
  • 3+ years of experience working with VDI
  • 1+ years of experience operating in a Linux environment
  • 1+ years of experience operating in a Windows environment
  • 1+ years of experience administering a client-facing network
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
  • HS diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in networking
  • Knowledge of VDI systems at the SME-level
  • Bachelor's degree in CS or a related field
Clearance

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.

The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172, annualized USD. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
