Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management: Provide strategic direction and oversight to the Emergency Department's business operations, including planning, budgeting, and performance management.
- Operational Excellence: Ensure the efficient and effective operation of the Emergency Department's business functions, including billing, payroll, and medical records.
- Staff Management: Supervise and develop a team of staff members, providing guidance, training, and coaching to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their jobs effectively.
- Financial Management: Manage the Emergency Department's budget, including forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and accreditation standards, including HIPAA, OSHA, and Joint Commission.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance patient care.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum two years of experience in medical records or healthcare administration, with experience in emergency medicine preferred.
- Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff members. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
