KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct thorough inspections of incoming raw materials, ensuring trailer cleanliness, appropriate temperature, and overall condition. Verify the integrity of boxes, assess product appearance and temperature, and confirm compliance with purchasing specifications and weight requirements.

Oversee outgoing finished product evaluations, which include verifying order accuracy, inspecting box conditions prior to dispatch, and ensuring product temperatures meet established standards. Additionally, inspect trailers for cleanliness and confirm that box labels, product contents, and weights are accurate.

Engage in quality control tasks during production, such as calibrating equipment (thermometers, scales, antimicrobial systems) and monitoring metal detector functionality. Maintain oversight of aged inventory, perform order filler checks, and verify critical control points (CCP) while ensuring daily monitoring of antimicrobial applications.

Assist in managing inventory levels and perform daily quality assessments on steak cutting processes to monitor yield efficiency. Conduct quality checks on product samples before shipment to guarantee adherence to specifications, appearance, packaging, and accurate order fulfillment. Provide training to employees as needed and compile regular reports for statistical or operational review. Assess the condition of returned products for appropriate handling.


All responsibilities must be executed in accordance with USDA, DDA, OSHA, and relevant state or local regulations.


COMPANY POLICIES AND PROCEDURES:

Compliance with safety protocols and adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs) is mandatory.

COLLABORATIVE RELATIONSHIPS

Internal:
Collaborate with FSQA department, Warehouse, and Processing staff. Interaction with employees, customers, and vendors at all levels is essential, maintaining a professional demeanor.

External:
Liaise with USDA/FDA officials as necessary.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Must be prepared to work consistently in a refrigerated setting (35F-45F).

Ability to endure extended periods in a freezer environment (-10F to +10F) with company-provided apparel is required. Overtime may be necessary, with the workday concluding upon task completion.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A minimum of 1 year of experience in a food production setting is required.

EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.

CERTIFICATIONS/TRAINING:
HACCP Certification is preferred.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience with USDA or FDA regulations is advantageous.
