Ophthalmic Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Ophthalmic Technician to join our team at MP RPO. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ophthalmic care and be able to perform a variety of tasks, including data collection, instrument maintenance, and administrative duties.
Key Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive work-ups on patients, including visual acuity testing, manual lensometry, and confrontation visual fields.
- Assist physicians with laser procedures and minor surgery, maintaining sterile technique and infection control.
- Document and measure patient data accurately and consistently.
- Triage patients, determining who should be seen next and maintaining a smooth flow of patients to the physician.
- Provide telephone support and communicate with reception and lead ophthalmic technician to facilitate patient flow.
- High School Diploma/GED required; higher education preferred.
- Certified Ophthalmic Assistant preferred, but not required.
- Experience in ophthalmic care highly preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work as a team member.
- Problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
