Job Title: Commercial Explosives Delivery Specialist

We are a global leader in the commercial explosives industry, providing innovative blasting solutions and quality explosives products throughout North America, Australia, and selected customers in the Asia Pacific.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with us and contribute to the delivery of commercial explosives products to customers in a safe, timely, and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate Dyno Nobel trucks and specialty equipment to deliver commercial explosives products to customers.
  • Assist in the operation and maintenance of our local SME (Site Mixed Emulsion) plant facility.
  • Prepare and quality control manage chemical solutions.
  • Loading and un-loading of SME trucks.
  • Drive/operate a range of delivery vehicles over public roads and off-road terrain.
  • Drive and operate bulk/SME truck to prepare and deliver quality explosive products to customer sites.
  • Operation of rigid-frame, engine-powered machines (skid steer) and associated equipment (trailer).
  • Possess basic mechanical skills and the ability to troubleshoot and perform minor repairs or maintenance while in the field.
  • Calibrate equipment, calculate fuel percentages, and check emulsion density.
  • Load and unload all trucks, and maintain magazines, sites, and inventories.
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain safe working conditions in the shop, while driving and operating equipment, and while on blast sites.
Requirements:
  • Class A CDL with Air Brakes, Tanker, and Hazmat endorsements.
  • Must be willing to undergo and pass an ATF background check as required to be a possessor of explosives.
  • 12 months of mechanical, commercial driving, explosives or related work experience.
  • Good record keeping and reporting skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English, and to communicate in writing and verbally.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to work Early AM Start times - Anywhere from 8 to 14 hours a day (Monday - Friday).

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year.
