We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Operating Room Nurse to join our team at Plastic Surgery Practice North Atlanta. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care in the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU).
Key Responsibilities- Assess patients' condition after surgical procedures and take and record vital statistics.
- Ensure that all vitals are within normal range and log all findings in patients' files.
- Develop individualized care plans based on each patient's unique needs and ensure that all nursing activities are carried out in accordance with the plan.
- Monitor patients for condition changes and report any changes to the doctor.
- Initiate patient education programs to ensure that patients and families are educated on procedures and medications.
- Perform intervention duties in cases of post-operative emergencies.
- Record sedation levels and body temperature, and manage fluid transfusions and draw specimens.
- Ensure that the post-operative space is clean and sanitized, and change bandages and dress surgical wounds.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in nursing, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
