MRI Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at V R Della Infotech Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing MRI procedures, adapting procedures to obtain specific diagnostic results, and preparing patients for examinations.
Key Responsibilities- Perform MRI procedures in a manner that ensures an accurate and complete examination within the guidelines, policies, procedures, and standards of Medical Imaging.
- Exhibit competency in performing MRI procedures and evaluate finished images to ensure appropriate identification and image quality.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during the procedure, including the use of earplugs.
- Possess knowledge and skills necessary to obtain adequate lab specimens for testing.
- Maintain working knowledge of equipment to function on both high field and low field magnet.
- Perform reasonable trouble shooting and check equipment for general safety.
- Know terminology or jargon of all magnet strengths and perform support functions of the MRI/Medical Imaging Department.
- Promptly prepare images/paperwork to ensure timely turnaround of the exams.
- Transport patients to and from the department as required.
- Promptly and accurately enter patient information into the HIS system.
- Coordinate patient flow to ensure efficient patient care.
- Ensure a safe environment by monitoring people who come within zone 3 & 4.
- Demonstrate a practical problem solving approach to patient moving and handling issues.
- Demonstrate skills to promote patient and staff safety through appropriate use of lift equipment.
- Assume responsibility for training fellow technologists and students.
- Assist Lead Technologist in teaching MRI procedures to coworkers/students.
- Experience in/with positive outcomes in working with others.
- Writes, reads, comprehends, and speaks fluent English.
- Basic computer knowledge using word processing, spreadsheet, email, and web browser.
- Multicultural sensitivity.
- Critical thinking skills using independent judgment in making decisions.

- Associate's Degree in the field(s) of Radiology or completion of an ARRT-eligible MRI program.
- BLS (American Heart Assoc.) certification.
