About the Role:

Nursing professionals with a passion for education and clinical performance are sought after by Ascension St. Vincent to fill the role of Nurse Educator.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating educational activities related to nursing clinical areas across the continuum of care.

In this role, you will serve as a strategic consultant for nursing clinical performance initiatives, creating, implementing, and evaluating multi-faceted competency-based programs, delivery mechanisms, and clinical performance metrics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with leaders and staff to assess nursing educational needs and competencies
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing and clinical educational plans/programs
  • Utilize methods, measurements, and tools to evaluate achievement of learning goals
  • Consult on the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of Nursing Professional Development (NPD) programs and performance processes that support core nursing and clinical competency across the organization
  • Manage performance and competency standards for inter-professional programs to support practice at the highest extent of licensure

Requirements:

To be considered for this position, applicants must possess a Registered Nurse credential from the Indiana Board of Nursing and BLS Provider certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

A diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing and required professional licensure at time of hire are also necessary qualifications for this role.
