Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Restaurant Host to join our team at Donohoe Companies. As a Restaurant Host, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take Orders and Serve Food and Drinks: Responsible for taking orders, serving food and drinks, and fulfilling requests by guests.
- Provide Excellent Customer Service: Greet newly seated guests in a friendly manner and in the time limit specified by outlet standards.
- Upsell and Promote Menu Items: Merchandise menu items, such as appetizers, entrees, and desserts.
- Manage Orders and Payments: Input orders into POS system, maintain accurate exchange of currency, and total bill and present check upon removal of last plate or upon request.
- Maintain a Clean and Safe Environment: Keep station clean, maintain free coffee and tea throughout the shift, and perform assigned station side work.
- Follow Company Policies and Procedures: Adhere to all work rules, procedures, and policies established by the hotel, including those contained in the employee handbook.
Requirements:
- Previous Restaurant Experience: Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Good oral communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand and walk for a long period of time, carry and lift heavy objects.
