Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support the educator in facilitating learning activities.
  2. Assist in the preparation, organization, and collection of educational materials.
  3. Help develop tailored strategies to reinforce learning based on individual student needs.
  4. Provide support in both individual and group instructional settings under the guidance of the teacher.
  5. Communicate any relevant information or concerns regarding individual students to the teacher.
  6. Contribute to the execution and oversight of students' Individual Education Plans (IEPs) as directed by the special education team.
  7. Supervise students in various settings, including playgrounds and hallways, as required.
  8. Assist in managing student behavior during drills, assemblies, and similar events.
  9. Be familiar with emergency protocols relevant to the school environment.
  10. Participate in IEP meetings as necessary for the role.
  11. Operate and maintain classroom instructional equipment.
  12. Engage in professional development opportunities as needed.
  13. Maintain appropriate attire for the role and responsibilities.
  14. Foster positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and the broader community.
  15. Uphold confidentiality regarding student and staff matters.
Reporting Structure:
Directly accountable to the Building Principal.
