Key Responsibilities:
- Support the educator in facilitating learning activities.
- Assist in the preparation, organization, and collection of educational materials.
- Help develop tailored strategies to reinforce learning based on individual student needs.
- Provide support in both individual and group instructional settings under the guidance of the teacher.
- Communicate any relevant information or concerns regarding individual students to the teacher.
- Contribute to the execution and oversight of students' Individual Education Plans (IEPs) as directed by the special education team.
- Supervise students in various settings, including playgrounds and hallways, as required.
- Assist in managing student behavior during drills, assemblies, and similar events.
- Be familiar with emergency protocols relevant to the school environment.
- Participate in IEP meetings as necessary for the role.
- Operate and maintain classroom instructional equipment.
- Engage in professional development opportunities as needed.
- Maintain appropriate attire for the role and responsibilities.
- Foster positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and the broader community.
- Uphold confidentiality regarding student and staff matters.
Directly accountable to the Building Principal.
