About the Role:
This HR Specialist position is located at LaGuardia Airport, within the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). As a key member of our team, you will provide expert advice on employee relations, conduct thorough analyses, and ensure compliance with regulations and policies.
Responsibilities:
- Apply employee relations principles, practices, legal, and regulatory requirements, and analytical skills sufficient to advise management about appropriate disciplinary or other corrective techniques that are responsive to a range of conduct and performance problems.
- Provide advice and assistance to management regarding appropriate disciplinary and adverse actions.
- Identify and seek guidance on fitness for duty and Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) issues.
- Apply knowledge of guidance, policies, principles, and practices related to employee conduct, performance, and dispute resolution.
Requirements:
To qualify for this position, you must have one year of specialized experience at the SV-H or GS-12 in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private sector. Specialized experience includes providing services in at least three of the following human resources disciplines: worker's compensation, employee relations, position classification, and performance management.
