Job Description

HealthEcareers - Client is seeking a skilled Nurse Educator to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing clinical education programs that foster high-quality care and promote evidence-based practice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Program Development: Design and deliver program-specific clinical education programs that align with the CMS Triple Aim framework and address patient-centered needs.
  • Collaboration: Work with education staff across the enterprise to develop an annual training calendar and ensure a coordinated approach to ongoing programs.
  • Curriculum Development: Develop and modify existing educational curriculum and training materials to ensure staff has current knowledge and competencies to meet program contractual and regulatory compliance.
  • Training and Evaluation: Train and/or oversee training of new and current staff in VNS Health/program philosophy, policy, standards, procedures, documentation, models for service delivery, and efficient, productive, cost-effective work processes.
  • Performance Improvement: Monitor and evaluate performance of newly hired staff and staff referred on for remedial or additional training, and develop performance improvement plans as needed.
  • Resource Management: Utilize resources and practices sound fiscal responsibility, and provide input for the development of the department budget.
Requirements:
  • Education: Master's Degree in Nursing required.
  • Experience: Minimum four years' experience in a community-based or long-term home health setting, including at least two years with a primary focus on education and training.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Current license and registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State required.
