Key Responsibilities:

As a leader in building innovation, we specialize in Louvers, Dampers, and Air Measurement controllers. Our products meet stringent building codes and boast a range of performance certifications, patents, and industry accolades that set us apart in the marketplace. This role is pivotal in sustaining engineering initiatives aimed at maintaining our louver product line, which includes applications for high-velocity wind-driven rain and hurricane impact.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading engineering efforts related to louver products.
  • Investigating quality issues and collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product management and operations, to identify and implement necessary solutions.
  • Identifying additional products with similar designs that may require review.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to create or update standard drawings for louver products as needed.
  • Completing, maintaining, and releasing drawings for agency test samples, coordinating with relevant teams.
  • Working closely with testing laboratories, manufacturing plants, and field service teams to leverage their expertise.
  • Providing technical guidance grounded in sound engineering principles.
  • Coordinating with both internal and external testing facilities to validate design modifications against applicable codes and standards.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk software, including AutoCAD, Inventor, and Vault.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to interpret, analyze, and create engineering drawings, with a solid understanding of tolerance stack-up and press fits.
  • Demonstrated capability to work effectively in team settings, along with strong written and verbal communication skills, adaptability, and flexibility.
  • Ability to apply fundamental engineering principles, mathematics, mechanics, and physical science concepts in practical scenarios.
  • Experience in developing Product Standard Drawings.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in HVAC Louver Product Design.
  • Background in manufacturing processes, including welding, assembly, and machining.
  • Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
  • Project management skills.
  • Experience with 3D printing technologies.
  • Familiarity with third-party accreditation processes.
