Johnson Controls is driving innovation in building performance with cutting-edge Louvers, Dampers, and Air Measurement controllers. Our Kansas City-based test lab validates designs before submission for 3rd party validation. This position is responsible for sustaining engineering efforts to maintain the company's louver portfolio, including high-velocity wind-driven rain and hurricane impact applications. The successful candidate will work with the development team to solve problems and apply solutions to future designs. Key responsibilities include leading engineering sustaining efforts, investigating quality concerns, and identifying areas for improvement. Additionally, this role involves creating or updating louver product standard drawings, working with cross-functional teams, and providing technical guidance. A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and proficiency in Autodesk products are required. Preferred qualifications include HVAC Louver Product Design Experience, Manufacturing experience, and Project management skills.
