Data Center Facilities Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Facilities Engineer to join our team at VDart. As a Data Center Facilities Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our data center facilities, including electrical, environmental, and mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain MEP monitoring tools, including Vertiv Sitescan and APC Data Center Expert/IT Advisor
  • Support data center staff to provide continuous business operations and ensure business requirements are met
  • Investigate and resolve issues related to data center facilities, including electrical, environmental, and mechanical systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement improvements to data center facilities
  • Develop and maintain documentation of data center facilities, including inventory and maintenance records
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience in data center facilities engineering or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of electrical, environmental, and mechanical systems, including HVAC, UPS, and generators
  • Experience with MEP monitoring tools, including Vertiv Sitescan and APC Data Center Expert/IT Advisor
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment and prioritize tasks effectively
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with data center design, IT floor space management, and cabinet power and U-space management
  • Knowledge of servers, storage, and networking in a data center environment
  • Experience with incident ticketing and change management applications

Working Hours: 40 hours per week with some infrequent overtime. Some evenings or weekends support required. Occasional travel required to support data center critical facilities activities.
