Core Responsibilities

  • Conduct essential experiments to facilitate the advancement and refinement of innovative assays on the company's platform.
  • Independently design, implement, and analyze research experiments using immunochemistry, fluorescence/luminescence detection systems, western blotting, and additional techniques.
  • Develop creative and practical solutions to a diverse array of interdisciplinary technical challenges.
  • Apply analytical and statistical methods to interpret experimental data.
  • Proactively troubleshoot experimental workflows, taking responsibility for outcomes, interpretations, strategies, and tactics at the project level.

Qualifications, Education, and Skills Required

  • A Master's degree in a scientific discipline is typically required; a PhD in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
  • Preference for a PhD in Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering, or a similar field, with at least 2 years of industry experience or equivalent.
  • Experience in developing blood-based assays is preferred.
  • Expertise in the design and development of biochemical and/or immunoassays is desirable.
  • Self-driven with excellent organizational and observational skills.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of protein biochemistry, including antibody principles and pairing.
  • Solid practical experience with a variety of protein purification, detection, and identification techniques (e.g., Western Blots, microscopy, chromatography, centrifugation, enzyme assays, Bioanalyzer, NTA). Experience in cancer biology and/or exosomes is a plus.
  • Ability to learn and execute complex, multi-step procedures involving newly developed (RUO) software and systems.
  • Expertise in applying statistical analysis and software (e.g., JMP, Prism, ImageJ) to inform decision-making.
  • Ability to convey research results clearly and concisely in a collaborative environment.
  • Motivated to work in a dynamic, team-oriented, hands-on setting.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and prioritization capabilities.
