Position Summary: The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the maintenance department's operations, ensuring that all activities align with the strategic goals of the organization. This role requires a deep understanding of facility management principles, engineering practices, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and coordinate maintenance activities to ensure optimal performance and quality of work.
  • Manage inventory levels of materials and equipment, initiating orders as necessary.
  • Assume full departmental responsibilities in the absence of senior management.
  • Evaluate employee performance and provide constructive feedback to maintain high standards.
  • Conduct training for new hires and offer ongoing support to existing staff.
  • Oversee preventative maintenance and repair projects, ensuring completion to satisfaction.
  • Participate in the facility's emergency response team.

Qualifications:

  • Previous supervisory experience in a maintenance or facilities role, preferably within healthcare.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems is highly desirable.
  • Ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Associate degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
