We are seeking a skilled GPS Installation Specialist to join our team at Webber, LLC. As a key member of our Equipment Technology department, you will be responsible for installing equipment monitoring devices in on- and off-road equipment and vehicles.
Key Responsibilities- Install equipment monitoring devices in various types of construction equipment, including wheel loaders, excavators, backhoes, dozers, cranes, and street sweepers.
- Work with a variety of on-road equipment, including CDL-level vehicles such as Peterbilt, Kenworth, and Mack.
- Collaborate with the Equipment Technology Coordinator to ensure seamless installation and maintenance of equipment monitoring devices.
- Develop and maintain strong knowledge of automotive/equipment electrical theory and CAN-based communication systems.
- Provide exceptional customer service and support to internal stakeholders.
- Minimum 5 years of verifiable experience as a light or heavy mechanic in the last 10 years.
- Technical school a plus.
- Able to demonstrate strong knowledge of automotive/equipment electrical theory and CAN-based communication systems.
- Above-average computer skills, experience in MS Office platform.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record.
- Valid driver's license.
- Able to pass a drug test and possible physical.
This position requires overnight travel, possibly up to three nights per week, and may involve working in various weather conditions. The territory covered by this position includes the entire state of Texas and may extend to other states.
Must possess own basic mechanic hand tools, 1/4, 3/8, socket set, various wrenches, rechargeable tools, etc. Required special equipment will be provided.
Must be willing to have a flexible work schedule, including some weekend work, and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
After training is completed, candidate will be required to work independently, with minimal supervision. Support can and will be provided by phone, video meeting, and other forms of communication.

- Background check: Some positions require completion of a background check, which may include Employment History Verification, County and Federal Searches for felonies and misdemeanors, SSN Address Trace, and/or National Criminal/Sex and Violent Offender Search.
