As the Assistant Director for Radiation and Environmental Health, your responsibilities will include:
- Acting as the university's subject matter expert in radiation and laser safety
- Leading compliance-related regulatory inspections
- Developing vision, mission, budget, policies, procedures, and key performance indicators for EHSS
- Establishing relationships with VUMC OCRS to continue the transition to VU management
- Implementing and adopting EHS Assist software system
- Ensuring regulatory and audit findings are timely and effectively addressed
- Developing opportunities for improvement in current services, faculty support processes, training, and information systems
- Serving as an emergency responder participating in the on-call schedule
