Key Responsibilities:- Perform conceptual and detailed HV and MV Substation Physical/Electrical design for medium to large scale utilities/substations.
- Lead advanced engineering studies and calculations.
- Conduct Quality Control reviews on medium to large substation physical design projects.
- Develop and review bill of materials for substation physical projects.
- Develop and provide advanced technical presentations to the team.
- Interact with clients and provide site visits to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or related field with 8+ years of Substation physical design experience.
- Leadership experience in executing substation projects.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with internal teams and clients.
- Ability to lead bids and proposal efforts for utility clients.
- Ability to perform quality control checks on substation design projects.
- Act as a supervisor for 1-6 direct reports.
- Ability to read and design substation physical drawings.
- Ability to read and design substation protection and control drawings.
- Ability to create and check bill of materials for substation physical.
- Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) License.
- Master's degree in related field.
- Experience with QA/QC.
- Working knowledge of protection and control design.
- Experience with BUS calculations.
- Experience with WinIGS or CDEGS.
- Experience with SDS AutoCAD Electrical software.
