Enterprise Software Support Director

Job Summary
The Application Support Manager will direct and coordinate development and daily activities of the Application Support section within the Information Technology Department.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate with the IT Management Team to develop long-term strategic plans for managing and maintaining corporate business systems and supporting integrations.
- Develop and implement short-term tactical plans for the applications support section in line with company and department goals.
- Ensure that proposed and existing systems architectures are aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
- Develop and document the company's existing applications architecture and technology portfolio. Identify and make recommendations for improvements and/or alternatives.
- Identify, evaluate, and recommend new technologies. Ensure compatibility of new technologies with existing systems.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external system providers and consultants to ensure maximum value, response time, availability, and support for MEPPI business systems.
- Develop and execute test plans to check systems technical performance. Report on findings and make recommendations for improvement.
- Lead, oversee, and participate in IT project related tasks.
- Develop KPIs and operational metrics to measure and maintain Application Support section performance.
- Lead the Applications Support section according to Company policies and procedures to effectively achieve Company and department objectives. Manage and develop staff by communicating job expectations, monitoring and appraising job performance, and providing coaching and training opportunities.
- Further the goals and positive, professional image of the IT Department by conducting business with other MEPPI departments, consultants, suppliers, etc., in a timely and cooperative manner.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in computer-related field with a minimum 7 years of experience with enterprise software in a manufacturing or industrial environment, or equivalent education and experience.
Advanced knowledge of MS SQL Server and SQL reporting tools. Advanced knowledge of Enterprise Service Bus and API management systems. Advanced knowledge of business intelligence, web services, document management (SharePoint), and programming infrastructure (.NET Framework). Advanced programming and troubleshooting skills. Advanced interpersonal, communication and facilitation skills required to communicate with employees and vendors. Ability to analyze processes and develop solutions to enhance operations. Advanced computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft Office and Enterprise Business systems.
