Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Engineering Adjunct Faculty member to join our team at Virginia Western Community College. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching college-level engineering courses on our main campus or in a hybrid format.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach engineering courses to students of varying abilities and backgrounds
  • Develop and implement curriculum and assessments to meet the needs of our students
  • Provide excellent oral and written communication skills to students, colleagues, and administrators
  • Maintain currency in teaching disciplines and trends in community college education
  • Participate in departmental communication and contribute to the growth and development of our engineering program
Requirements
  • Must possess a Master's degree in Engineering
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to write syllabi and exams, develop learning strategies, and assess student performance
  • Teaching experience at the college level is preferred
