Role of the Biomedical Equipment Specialist
The Biomedical Equipment Specialist is responsible for ensuring that all medical devices and supplies utilized throughout the facility are functioning correctly and are safe for patient use. This role also involves maintaining the physical infrastructure of the facility.
Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, with typical shifts from 7 AM to 3:30 PM. Availability for on-call duties may be required as necessary.
Compensation: The hourly wage ranges from $18.55 to $28.38, based on experience with technical equipment and dialysis; prior experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Key Responsibilities
What You Will Be Doing:
- Conducting repairs, calibrations, and maintenance of dialysis equipment to ensure operational safety and effectiveness.
- Performing routine maintenance and repairs on water systems in both clinical and home settings.
- Adhering to AAMI standards for water safety and equipment reprocessing.
- Documenting all repairs and maintenance activities in accordance with DCI and clinic policies, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
- Executing air quality assessments and taking necessary corrective actions.
- Managing inventory tasks as assigned, following established DCI protocols.
- Understanding and complying with regulations regarding hazardous materials and medical waste management.
- Strictly following infection control and safety protocols.
- Completing minor maintenance tasks within the facility.
- Engaging in clinic quality improvement initiatives and supporting risk management efforts.
