Job Summary

The Biomedical Technician II will provide exceptional service to customers within a hospital or healthcare system in Atlanta, GA. This role involves evaluating, diagnosing, and performing repair and maintenance on biomedical equipment to ensure customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate complex biomedical equipment issues and implement appropriate repairs.
  • Perform planned maintenance, safety inspections, and maintain effective customer relations.
  • Follow and guide others on GE policies, procedures, and hospital protocol, and complete necessary documentation.
  • Establish proactive daily communications with customers to ensure resolution and proper follow-up.
  • Implement GE/customer facility contracts and support business goals and objectives.
  • Lead, instruct, and assist technicians on basic and complex repairs and resolution.
  • Document all repair actions and submit reports according to schedule.
  • Ensure proper care of spares, tools, and test equipment, and maintain approved parts inventory.
  • Manage vendors' service delivery processes in compliance with GE policies.

Requirements

  • Associates degree, Bachelor's degree, military education, or High School Diploma/GED with 4+ years of experience servicing medical equipment.
  • 2+ years of experience servicing medical equipment.
  • Experience with electronic digital circuitry and electronic and electro-mechanical devices.
  • Experience interpreting schematic diagrams.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to be available after-hours and/or work a rotating on-call schedule, including weekends.
  • Ability to lift/move up to 35lbs.
