In this role, you will:
Perform cleaning and sanitization of rooms and furnishings in designated areas, adhering to established protocols to ensure the safety and cleanliness of the facility.
Implement basic infection control measures, including standard, contact, airborne, and droplet precautions.
Follow safe chemical handling procedures, utilizing personal protective equipment, selecting the appropriate cleaning agents, and being knowledgeable about Safety Data Sheets.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in Environmental Services closets and supply storage areas, including EVS carts.
Qualifications:
Education
- High School Diploma, General Education Development (GED), or completion of a CMC Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate upon hire or transfer into position required or
- General Education Development (GED) obtained within 1 year of hire or transfer into position required. Failure to obtain the GED within 1 year will result in termination of employment.
- 3 months of experience in a customer service role required
- Experience in environmental services within a healthcare setting preferred
