Fluidra North America is seeking a dedicated Senior Accounting Specialist to enhance our Accounting Department. This position offers flexibility with remote work options, but candidates must reside in the PST time zone.
Your Contributions
In this role, you will take charge of various financial activities, including managing cash flow, overseeing prepaid expenses, and acting as the Corporate Credit Card/PCard Administrator. You will also conduct thorough audits of expense reports and manage P-card and expense accruals.
Your responsibilities will include maintaining bank reconciliations, prepaid reconciliations, and accrued liability reconciliations, while also providing essential support for both internal and external audit inquiries.
Additional Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries and other financial transactions, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger while adhering to IFRS standards.
- Play a key role in the month-end closing process and perform account reconciliations.
- Conduct expense report audits in Oracle to ensure compliance with company policies.
- Manage escheatment maintenance and reporting.
- Coordinate requests between audit teams and relevant business units to facilitate successful completion of annual audits.
- Support over 300 credit card holders as the Corporate Credit Card/PCard Administrator.
- Assist management with ad hoc data collection, reporting, analysis, and special projects.
What We Are Looking For
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in accounting.
- Strong independent thinking and time management skills to meet deadlines under pressure.
- Commitment to completing month-end close duties efficiently.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with high processing volumes.
- Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude, even under stress.
- Proactive approach to responsibilities and tasks.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- A successful history of completing a 3-day month-end close is preferred.
- Familiarity with Oracle ERP and knowledge of cash reconciliations and general ledger accounting is advantageous.
- A mindset geared towards initiating process improvements is preferred.
Educational Background
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field.
